Computer is 15 years old. Owner of cram school checks e-mail in OUTLOOK EXPRESS. He uses INTERNET EXPLORER.
But he made sure to point out that he has Google Chrome on his desktop, so I thought he was using that, and thus I downloaded the wrong Flash update first. But even after downloading the IE Flash update it still didn't work.
I should have read the fine print which stated Newsweek's online viewer was incompatible with IE.
Had to make an account on a magazine viewing website called Zinio or something like that. It FINALLY WORKED.
The computer froze. I tried to get out of it by holding down CTRL ALT DEL to force shut down, but interestingly it caused Task Manager to open 46 windows rather than an emergency shut down. So I had to do a manual shut down and restart. But luckily it rebooted just fine.
Unngh stupid old computers. Not to mention the OS is completely in Japanese.
You'd think a business owner would update their computer more than every 15 years.
But... but, the internet told me everyone in Japan has advanced humanoid robot computers that do their bidding. I don't know what to believe anymore O.o
In my city, all the elementary schools have smart boards that they can use. But guess what, at my school I have been informed that nobody knows how to use them but one teacher who all the other teachers go to for advice lol. I keep asking for a chance to use them and nothing happens D:
In Japan the internet search site of choice is Yahoo.
Though admittedly when I went to Yahoo just now to see what it looked like these days I ended up reading about the latest earthquakes in Christchurch, so I guess there is some merit to having the news cluttering up a search page.

Now how do you feel?

Still... Google feels much cleaner.
