My Bio
THANK YOU for all your faves and watches!! I may not thank you individually for faves but I definitely appreciate them :). I will return all llamas!

About me:

I studied creative writing and that's still my dream but I don't really use DA for writing. DA is a space for my creative hobbies. I like taking photos and making paper crafts such as snowflakes and collages. I also like drawing and painting but don't always sit down to make something.

I'm American. I'm from Michigan but now I live & work in Illinois for a North American branch of a Japanese company.

I lived in Japan for 5 years. Lived in Tokyo for 2 & 1/2 months. Lived in Fukushima Prefecture for 3 years. I lived in Gifu Prefecture for about 2 years. I can speak English and Japanese  日本語もしゃべります。友達になってね

Summer's Here

My physical therapy is almost done :) but my knee is still not at 100%.  I think it's at around 80%, which is an improvement.  But sometimes it's still painful or feels strange. I have good news!  I am moving next month :D my fiance and I are moving in together and we've found a great apartment!  Bad news?  My current apartment is not ok with me leaving early and I will still have to pay rent here for about a month after I move :( not cool!!  But after that, I will be saving a lot of money, so I guess it's not too bad?  And since I will be getting my security deposit back, the last month of rent will not be very expensive. Doctor's Orders

Finally went to the doctor about my bum knee.  Went to a joint specialist.  The doc said it is something that probably won't require surgery.  I got put on physical therapy for 6 weeks.  After that we will have an evaluation to see whether or not the therapy was effective.  And if not, reconsider options.  Kinda bummed about 6 weeks of therapy but at least it's probably better than surgery.  Be prepared to hear from me even less than usual lol.  Therapy starts in mid-May and lasts til the end of June.  I have to go 2 or 3 times per week, after work, so I will not really have time to do much of anything between work and therapy. Whoaaaaaa

So, things have been pretty crazy here, as usual. I got engaged about 2 weeks ago.  So excited!  Working on living situation details right now since we currently live in different cities.  Then after that is sorted out we're going to start saving money, going to pre-marital counseling, and preparing for the big day.  Haven't picked a wedding date yet but we're thinking about wedding locations (as in, the city where it will take place) a little bit and other details.  After we pick a general area and timeframe we can see what's available (more specific locations & venues) and make more detailed plans... wedding seem like kind of a pain in

You lived in Japan *o* wow!~
Yep!  I lived there for 5 years.  Just getting used to being in my own country again.  I see that you're from Germany?  My brother just moved there this winter :)
That sounds awesome! I really want to visit japan someday and sometimes I imagine how it would be to live there~
Oh reallly? Does he like it here so far? :)
I have some friends from Germany who became English teachers in Japan just like I did.  And I have another friend from Germany who worked in a hotel in Hokkaido for an internship.  I think you should go someday :)

Yeah, I think my brother likes Germany!  He was talking to me about places he took his family, like restaurants and parks.  He is in the military so he is going to be stationed in Germany for 4 years I think.  I want to save money to visit!
